【摘要】:Thispracticeisintendedtoprovideameansofevaluationofcomparativeimagequalityrelativetopaper,imagingsystemcomponents,printerspeeds,andprintermodels.1.1Thispracticecoversastandardizedprocedureutilizingaprinterofthetypenormallyassociatedwithapersonalcomputerasanimagingdevicewhentheperformancepropertiesofpaperandimagingsystemcomponentsaremeasured.Bothimpactandnonimpactsystemsmaybetested.1.2Impactprintertechnologiesincludefullcharacteranddotmatrix.1.3Nonimpactprintertechnologiesincludelaserprinters,directthermalprinters,thermaltransferprinters,andinkjet.1.4Printersnotincludedarethoseassociatedwithlargecomputersystemscommonlyknownashigh-speedprinters.SeePracticeF1175fortestinginvolvingthosesystems.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
