【摘要】:Rockwellhardnessisoneofthemoreimportantpropertiesusedtoevaluatecementedcarbides.Forcompositionalgroupsofcementedcarbides,hardnessisanindicationofwearresistanceandtoughness.Lowerhardnessgradesusuallyindicatelesswearresistancebutgreatertoughness.Foraspecificgradeofcementedcarbide,hardnessisanindicationofthemetallurgicalqualityofthematerial.Innocaseishardnesstheonlypropertytobeconsideredinevaluatingcementedcarbides.1.1ThistestmethodcoversthehardnesstestingofcementedcarbidesbyuseoftheRockwellhardnesstesterwiththeRockwellAscale(diamondindenterand588.4N(60kgf)load)intherangeofRockwellA80andabove.Alsocoveredaretheproceduresforthetestingandselectionofdiamondindenters,themanagementandtraceabilityofthefourlevelsofstandardtestblocks,theacquisitionofsecondarystandardtestblocks,andthemakingandcalibrationofworkingstandardtestblocks.1.2TheRockwellhardnesstesterisaconvenientandreliablemeansofmeasuringthehardnessofcementedcarbides.Ahardnessvalueisobtainedeasily,butitissubjecttoconsiderableerrorunlesscertainprecautionsareobserved.1.3TestMethodsE18shallbefollowedexceptwhereotherwiseindicatedinthistestmethod.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
