【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversatechniquefordeterminationoftheemittanceoftypicalmaterialsusingaportabledifferentialthermopileemissometer.Thepurposeofthetestmethodistoprovideacomparativemeansofquantifyingtheemittanceofopaque,highlythermallyconductivematerialsnearroomtemperatureasaparameterinevaluatingtemperatures,heatflows,andderivedthermalresistancesofmaterials.1.2ThistestmethoddoesnotsupplantTestMethodC835,whichisanabsolutemethodfordeterminationoftotalhemisphericalemittance,orTestMethodE408,whichincludestwocomparativemethodsfordeterminationoftotalnormalemittance.Becauseoftheuniqueconstructionoftheportableemissometer,itcanbecalibratedtomeasurethetotalhemisphericalemittance.ThisissupportedbycomparisonofemissometermeasurementswiththoseofTestMethodC835(1).1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
