【摘要】:ThisStandard,providesinformationontheuseofmultiportaveragingPitothead-typedevicesusedtomeasureliquidsandgases.TheStandardapplieswhentheconduitsarefullandtheflow(a)hasafullydevelopedprofile;(b)remainssubsonicthroughoutthemeasurementsection;(c)issteadyorvariesonlyslowlywithtime;(d)isconsideredsingle-phase.Adifferentialpressuretransmitterorotherpressuremeasuringdevice,knownasasecondaryelement,mustbeusedwithamultiportaveragingPitotprimaryelementtoproduceaflowratemeasurement.AlthoughmultiportaveragingPitotprimaryelementsaresometimesusedinnoncircularconduits,suchapplicationsarebeyondthescopeofthisStandard.
